Of badminton, bridge, and tiny viking ships
Cant remember what brought up the subject but me and jon were talking abt old times (read: GOOD old times) just now over msn and later sms.
J1
1st there was wong wai sam/san (i dun rmbr), our ghost of a gp tchr with transparent skin, long (soft) rebonded hair parted perfectly in the middle, no eyebrows (yes, none. and on days when she forgot to draw them with those brown eyebrow pencil thgs, it got quite ugly. literally.), and a super-i-wanna-die-bad lameness. She refused to believe that there are white cows with black spots around; she insisted we had been deceived by the media, especially Fernleaf ads.
Then there was our class' obsession with badminton and captain's ball. it was either one or the other, i tell ya. We (fuhan pris and i) tried to suggest basketball but most of the time we'd get outcasted. I only started learning to play badminton properly in j2 tho. but i had great coaches. and i got pretty good at it in the end, u know. i mean, not to brag or anything.. but u can ask zirui (our PE rep and ALSO nj track and field captain)! at one point the rally between us was really quite smooth *beams*.
But the good part about that was how after PE we'd like hang arnd in the canteen, playing bridge.. having drinks.. or just talking. 5pm PE was nice.
Another obsession was with truth and dare. (I dunno what's up with the people i hang out with and truth or dare, it just never leaves me. all the way from pri sch man..) WE played that like so many times, almost on our outing tt we had together.. until i thk despite permutations and combinations we'd exhausted all the qns we cud possibly want answers to on ALL of us. haha.. there was also tt somebody who thought that tt jon was the most kissable guy in class *nudge nudge*. HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAAA.... (God forgive me for that momentary excessive cheekiness. it WAS hilarious.).
Oh and Bridge! lots and lotsa bridge! at the class condo XY taught me other card games like 99 and black jack but i admit these games were never in my niche. I'm too nice and honest a person to think in such cunning, insidious ways. I prefer heart attack. good family fun. ANW. talking abt NON- good family fun, i heard this riddle on power 98. what do sex and bridge have in common? (I'm NOT gonna ans this here.)
I'm probably alone in this, but i loved Funtasia.. That WAS the name right? the nj carnival some time in july. Well, coz while preparing for it i got to know the classmates abit better. It was so much fun, the preps! the girls were busy doing the artwork- 03S21 banner (very nice, courtesy of Miss Fuhan), the painted pebbles, and the board with the holes. The guys were busy throwing balls into the holes (ANY connotation is PURELY incidental, i swear). Remember the Pink Red and White camo bear? God that was ugly. (clarification: not done by the girls.)
Hmm the day itself was fun too! The eminence pple came down, even nurie! Hatta too, and rushdy, my pri school mates. Even Aizat and ahmad, haha.. my woodlands libr gang. I got to promote our prata stall to aizat, and he agreed the prata was delish. haha.. i'm proud of that prata stall. there was also liu yun (ly), this guy from the class in 1st 3 mths. We were splitting hairs trying to figure out how to make balloon sculptures. I managed to figure the flower out! really pretty. there were swords too! and funny (and unpopular) hats. haha! a bunch of us, me jon bren, probably fh and kamal, even spent the last 15min of the carn on that uncle ringo's miniature viking thingy! haha... despite me losing like a whole booklet of coupons, $50 bucks worth, before the event and having to pay for it out of my own (miserable) pocket, Funtasia was super super great. probably my best NJ exp! ok no lar. (just for the record, i found the intact booklet a few months later in my shelves. tsk.)
Ok now tt i am on a roll, its hard to stop! but the entry's getting too long. ok the list above is non-exhaustive. there're still stuffs abt class condo, PPC drama (Gosh!) and the holy trinity that was me and 2 other asses. haha! and all these in j1! Will con't another day!
Ps: This entry is dedicated to eemin, the Sentimental One. and Jon. the most 'kissable' guy in class. (hah!)
Pps: It just struck me how it's so easy to forget abt good times when sthg bad happens. U'd be too busy looking for more bad stuffs and memories to grieve about. I dint quite notice my j1 year was this good til now. Cheers!
